Another fast one jajaja We recieved an awesome reference named Diego and wow we invited him to be baptized and he accepted he also came to church!!! We dont meet with him in person because he works but we have super awesome lessons over phone calls.  Suprise interview with president Janzen:  In the middle of our district counsel we get a text from Hermana Janzen saying " President wants to interview Hermana  Jensen  tomorrow " my heart literally stopped because its not time for interviews so I was super worried ( i dont know why but I thought I was introuble ) but the interview was good aparently in december he did all the interviews but realized on Monday that he literally forgot about me, he told me " please forgive me I interviewed all the missionaries in december before christmas but you jjajaaj oops" so yeah he forgot i exsisted jajaja but the interview was super fun he told me that I was one of the happiest missionaries hes seen ( not sure where he go...

Week 41: Bautismo De Jazmin!!!!

Image
Well I hit 9 months! Wow that was fast  Ok so we had an awesome week but lets start with the miracle:  JAZMIN WAS BAPTIZED!!!  Wow it was so awesome at first she wanted to wait one more week but we talked it out and she ended up being baptized on staurday and wow the whole ward came and it was so amazing and spiritual. She was smiling and crying and just over all so happy. Too bad she was baptized in a font full of coachroach...oops ( our fault ) but all was well and she didnt seem to mind.  Here are some stories from this week:  The longest night:  We had a HUGE thunder and lightening storm. To make things worse we lost power meaning our beloved air conditioning didnt work to make matters even worse it was one of those really hot days like 110 degrees so our apartment was an oven we went old fashion style and put our sheets in cold water and wetted our hair to sleep but nothing helped. It was miserable and we didnt sleep at all.  Strange taxi ride: Wh...

Week 40: Theres Always Miracles

Image
Welp what a bummer week all our miracle references from last are gone we ended up not being able to contact them a whole bunch so we stopped :(  At the start of the week lara told us that she wasnt allowed to be taught by us but is allowed to go to church. Her dad doenst want anything to do with us but on saturday we ran into her uncle ( our bishop ) and he told us that he talked to her dad and they worked it out and he said it was fine to teach her. Gabriel we couldnt contact him all week and he got mad because we never answer his calls but he calls us at midnight or a like 5 in the morning we tried explaining that we have certain hours but he didnt like that. We have decided to stop teaching him because hes wierd and has said some really random and wierd stuff. But now hes harrassing us...oh well.  Hugo!!!!!!! Ok well here is our miracle. We invited Hugo to he baptized and he accepted!!!! His baptism is in 2 weeks!!  Hopefully we can teach him all he needs to make his g...

Week 39: A Shower Of Blessings... More Like A Waterfall

Image
Wooooow was this week so crazy. We had been pretty down with the amount of work and the fact that we are suffering to work in our multiple areas but we saw a waterfall of blessing. God really saw us struggling and blessed us with 11 yes 11 people to teach. Sadly not all will enter the waters of baptism but maybe all they need is to start their journey in the gospel. Heres a little but about each.  Gabriel: we met last sunday ( hes mentioned in my last email ) we had a great lesson with him about the restoration and Joseph smith and he asked so many good questions and was really intrested. He almost had a heart attack when we told him theres a gospel library app and almost died when we told him he could read in the boom of mormon in English ( fun fact he was born in Wisconsin). He likes to speak in English but right now instead of struggling with spanish I am having a hard time remembering english...oops hehe. But since we are working 3 ( basically 5 ) areas we werent able to attend...

Week 38: New Year, New Miracles

Image
Happy new year! Wow its 2024 this year was so fast. But this week was good we saw lots of miracles!  We have been teaching one person her name is Berta and she had been having a few problems with the word of wisdom but this week she told us that its been a week or so since she last fell back into old habits so that was awesome. She is so close to being baptized the only thing we are waiting for is for her husband to get his papers so they can get married! We have been visiting this family of recent converts and their daughter is the only one in the family not baptized but she told us she wants to be baptized in the next year to be able to go to the temple with her family in feburary. So we are excited for whats to come this month.  Another miracle is that a less active member told us to visit her and teach her son about the gospel because aparently hes been asking to go to church.  Big miracle!!! As we were walking to church we see this guy chillin on a bench and he asks ...

Week 37: FELIZ NAVIDAD

Image
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!!!! wow I cant believe its christmas how crazy!!! Ok so our christmas conference was super spiritual and definelty brought the spirit of christmas into our lives. I ended up playing the violin as a musical number jajaja it was a little random. We played a fun little game put together by our mission president and ate some yummy asado. It was fun to talk to lots of the missionaries and just have a good time. The travel back to jujuy was super long like 5 hours long. It rained and all the streets are dirt here in jujuy and so it was super flooded and there were a lot of land slide type problems.  On Tuesday I was finally feeling better from my sickness of last week and so we went back to work. I did just fine until the afternoon when my fever returned and we had to return home. Spent the rest of the day in bed. I woke up at about 2 in the morning in the most pain I think I have ever felt in my stomach. I was sobbing and a member drove us to the emergency room. They tol...

Week 36: 8 Months And Sick In Bed

Image
Well I have had quite the fun week ( psych ) it was super hard.  The week didnt start off to good when the APs kept changing my travel plans to my new area. I was told 5 minutes before our " curfew" that my plans had changed and they would send a new bus ticket but by 12 I still didnt get it so I went to bed and got up at the time I was originally supposed to leave which was 5:00 so I had to get up at 4 to get to the bus station in time but when I got up I checked my email and saw that they had sent my new ticket and I was now leaving at 7:30 i was stressed out and nervous but went back to bed and left at the new time.  I arrived in my new area and thats when I learned that me and my companion Hermana Cunha would be working not one, not two but three areas. Lets just say I lasted one day when I came down with a fever of 39.1°C and for you lovely Americans thats about 102.3 °F or so degrees so yeah it was bad. My whole body hurt I couldnt move or even lift my head for 2 days. ...
