Week 42: Pretty Sure Thats Not Sugarcane
Another fast one jajaja
We recieved an awesome reference named Diego and wow we invited him to be baptized and he accepted he also came to church!!! We dont meet with him in person because he works but we have super awesome lessons over phone calls.
In the middle of our district counsel we get a text from Hermana Janzen saying " President wants to interview Hermana Jensen tomorrow " my heart literally stopped because its not time for interviews so I was super worried ( i dont know why but I thought I was introuble ) but the interview was good aparently in december he did all the interviews but realized on Monday that he literally forgot about me, he told me " please forgive me I interviewed all the missionaries in december before christmas but you jjajaaj oops" so yeah he forgot i exsisted jajaja but the interview was super fun he told me that I was one of the happiest missionaries hes seen ( not sure where he got that from jajaja ) jk. He told me that he enjoys how im always smiling and laughing and that my prayer the other day in the oración de la mas was the sweested hes heard jajaja ( go me )#presidentsfavorite. He asked me how I feel about my area and i expressed the diffiuctly of it but he was like " meh you had a baptism your fine jajaja" but he said he understands how it is and that he'll do what he can to help. All in all a good interview.
Somos tantas jajaja:
On Friday we went to visit Leila who is a recient convert and her family lives and works on this farm. When we got there we couldnt find them and after about 10 minutes of searching we found them harvesting "Sugarcane " we decided to help them ( like we did last week ) although this day they were doing the hard part but it was fun you just have to break this string take the leaves off, put the leaves in a box and throw the stick in a big pile. The whole time I was wondering " why are we putting the leaves in the shipping box and not the stick? Isnt the sugar in the stick?" But as I worked I wondered more and more about these leaves. We had a fun time and stayed for and hour and half without even realizing. As me and Hermana Cunha walked to find a passing bus I asked about the leaves she just shrugs and after about 2 minutes of silence we immeditaley look at each other in horror because we had both realized at the same time that we werent helping harvest sugarcane we were helping harvest tobacco. We werent 100 percent sure until we asked a member how they harvest tobacco and what the leaves look like. She confirmed that we had indeed helped harvest about 50 pounds of tobacco. Big oops. And Highly illegal in my mission. It doenst count as a sin because we were oblivious to what tobacco looks like...we repented later.
Los amo a todos
