Week 36: 8 Months And Sick In Bed
Well I have had quite the fun week ( psych ) it was super hard.
The week didnt start off to good when the APs kept changing my travel plans to my new area. I was told 5 minutes before our " curfew" that my plans had changed and they would send a new bus ticket but by 12 I still didnt get it so I went to bed and got up at the time I was originally supposed to leave which was 5:00 so I had to get up at 4 to get to the bus station in time but when I got up I checked my email and saw that they had sent my new ticket and I was now leaving at 7:30 i was stressed out and nervous but went back to bed and left at the new time.
I arrived in my new area and thats when I learned that me and my companion Hermana Cunha would be working not one, not two but three areas. Lets just say I lasted one day when I came down with a fever of 39.1°C and for you lovely Americans thats about 102.3 °F or so degrees so yeah it was bad. My whole body hurt I couldnt move or even lift my head for 2 days. It was pretty rough. I soon came down with a bad cough and stomach ache and I swear I was dying. But.... the members in my new areas are so sweet a member came by at 6 in the morning and gave me a blessing. He showed up with his wife in all blue and I swear in my mind I thought " oh look a giant blueberry has come to take me to my grave" I felt better and thought my fever had broken because I woke up soaking wet like i had just swum in my pool my sheets, hair, pillow and every thing was drenched ( sorry if that grossed you out im just tryin to give you the whole picture ). I finally thought it had ended but... about 5 hours later my fever came back. On Saturday my fever broke again and I was told to work yeah well I lasted 10 minutes and thought I needed to throw up but I didnt we went to the church did some calls and went back home where I recieved another priesthood blessing. ended up staying sick in bed Thursday-Sunday. My companion Hermana Cunha is an angel she ran back and fourth putting cold towels on my head and helping me get up to drink water. I think the reason it was so rough is that my fever would break and then come back worse and then break again and be better but break again and come back even more worse than the past time. By sunday night I was almost 100% and then we lost power I thought I was going to die but thanks to MANY prayers after three hours it returned and I was able to sleep some what calmly.
But today we are traveling back to Salta for the zone christmas conference I am super excited and prepared to be spirtual uplifted from this long and exhausting week.
Los amo a todos
