Week 41: Bautismo De Jazmin!!!!

Well I hit 9 months! Wow that was fast

Ok so we had an awesome week but lets start with the miracle:
JAZMIN WAS BAPTIZED!!!
Wow it was so awesome at first she wanted to wait one more week but we talked it out and she ended up being baptized on staurday and wow the whole ward came and it was so amazing and spiritual. She was smiling and crying and just over all so happy. Too bad she was baptized in a font full of coachroach...oops ( our fault ) but all was well and she didnt seem to mind.

Here are some stories from this week:

The longest night:
We had a HUGE thunder and lightening storm. To make things worse we lost power meaning our beloved air conditioning didnt work to make matters even worse it was one of those really hot days like 110 degrees so our apartment was an oven we went old fashion style and put our sheets in cold water and wetted our hair to sleep but nothing helped. It was miserable and we didnt sleep at all.

Strange taxi ride:
While returning home on Wednesday we entered a taxi cab and like always I start talking. The taxi driver was really interest why I was here and me and Hermana Cunha start explaining our role as missionaries. He had lots of questions and when we told him about the word of wisdom he goes " Oohh like the Ingels" my companion was confused on who the ingels are but I started laughing because if you ever read little house on the prairie or watched the tv show you know the ingels are a family who lived in like the 1800s so he was basically asking if we lived liked people in the 1800s. It was an interesting conversation because he couldnt wrap his head around the fact that we werent like the Ingels family.

Elder kyle:
For two weeks we have been helping a man named Jose frias return to the church. He was baptized right before Covid and stopped coming due to some other problems. We found him and our meetings now are our favorite. He is super fun and is eager to come back. He was baptized by two Elderes. Elder Kyle and as José says " Elder México because I cant remeber the name". This week he told us how meaningful our meeting have been and told me that although I am a girl I remind him of Elder Kyle and he now jokingly calls me Elder Kyle.

Sugar cane:
I helped harvest sugar cane. I will now look at sugar in a different way because its not fun work.

A lesson with the young men:
We have been teaching this mom and her daughter ( Luciana and Ana Lucía ) they are awesome and want to join a church where Ana Lucía ( the daughter ) can have good friends. So we thought to bring two youth to one of our lessons but the girl canceled and when we met up with Maxi the boy he had all the other young men with him so we brought them all along and they were so cute and funny hahah they all had these mission tags that said "future missionary" and were super excited to help us teach they shared all about fsy and the temple and all the activities it was a super fun lesson definelty in the top 5.

THE SALTA TEMPLE!!!!!!!
OK I AM SO EXCITED BECAUSE THE SALTA TEMPLE WILL BE DEDICATED IN JUNE!!!!!! POR FIN!!!!! I am even more excited because I might get to work at the open house and give tours!!! But even more excited that these amazing members will have a temple close and that they wont have to travel 15-30 hrs to the temple of Córdoba or Buenos Aires but will have one only 2-5 hours away!!!

Los amo a todos
