Week 40: Theres Always Miracles

Welp what a bummer week all our miracle references from last are gone we ended up not being able to contact them a whole bunch so we stopped :( 


At the start of the week lara told us that she wasnt allowed to be taught by us but is allowed to go to church. Her dad doenst want anything to do with us but on saturday we ran into her uncle ( our bishop ) and he told us that he talked to her dad and they worked it out and he said it was fine to teach her.


Gabriel we couldnt contact him all week and he got mad because we never answer his calls but he calls us at midnight or a like 5 in the morning we tried explaining that we have certain hours but he didnt like that. We have decided to stop teaching him because hes wierd and has said some really random and wierd stuff. But now hes harrassing us...oh well. 


Hugo!!!!!!! Ok well here is our miracle. We invited Hugo to he baptized and he accepted!!!! His baptism is in 2 weeks!!  Hopefully we can teach him all he needs to make his goal!! Pray for him please 


MIRACLE!!!!! Theres a family here of recient converts all are members expect their daughter jasmin she has never had a baptism date and has always felt pressured so shes kind of pushed the missionaries away but since I am new here she has been letting us come not to teach but to talk to her family and I told my companion all we needed to do was wait for her to decide her own date and well it happened!! We were eating lunch with their family and she tells us that shes been praying and is ready to baptized. She said " not this week because I have a birthday party but the next week" me and Hermana Cunha almost jumped out of our seats but we remained calm and said of course so.. we will have a baptism this saturday if all works out!!! We are so happy because finally this family will be complete and in a year they can be sealed!!!!!!! So pray for Jasmin PLEASE!!!


Heres a story that no one asked for. Ok so everyone here has grape vines and the members keep giving us bundles after bundles of grapes but the sad part is neither me or my companion like grapes so we have been giving them to our downstair neighbor has paynent for our water that keeps falling down to her balcony. Well anyways on Wednesday we recieved a huge bag of grapes and we didnt know what to do with it because we had given grapes to our neighbor the day before so as we were taking our taxi back to Perico this guy gets in and i look at him and go do you like grapes he looks at me like im crazy and goes "NO" and I start explaning how we keep recieving grapes but we dont like them and how we were wondering if he wanted them. He asked if they were free and duh they were so he said " yeah I like grapes" so we give him the huge bag and my companion is just laughing because he thinks im some crazy american but hey now we dont have grapes to worry about. 


Another story: 
Ok so I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed and I hear my companion screaming and hear her throwing things and Im just like " is she getting murdered" I leave the bathroom to check on her and as I open the door she screams " STOP DONT MOVE THERES A COCHROACH" and boy was she right there was a giagantic coachroach like the size of my hand right next to my foot I literally scream and run to the kitchen and wow ok we're stupid but we tried using raid to kill it but it started flying so we start throwning shoes at it but my companion ( the hero of the story ) grabs my sandle runs at it and smakes it over and over. So now we clean the aparment every morning so we dont have another cocroach enter.

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
