Image
Bom dia y Boa noite  You might be wondering the significance of that first sentence, well I am learning portugués from my companion hermana Lemos who is from Brazil so I will be coming home from the mission tri lengual  Anyways...Welcome back to another week! We had a pretty awesome week. Trabajamos un full!!!    On Tuesday night it was my turn to share the scripture in the oración de la mas and I started laughing because Hermana Wilden ( my past companion) her screen was pinned and was listening so intently and smiling so big that when I looked at the screen it was just her face so I started laughing and forgot everything I was going to say :/  We invited Adrian Exequiel to be baptized and he accepted with the most enthusiam ever and me and Hermana Lemos deeply believe he is a chosen and that he has been prepared to recieve this gospel for some time and we are the lucky ones to have been able to find him and teach him. God put him in our path and we are truely ...

Week 28: 6 Months!!!

Image
Well i offical have 6 months in the mission. I always thought that october 17 would never come but literally I blinked and here I am. So for those of you who miss me I will be home in less than a year.  On monday me and Hermana Lemos embarrassed oursleves in front of the whole mission. And you might be thinking how we could do that well let me explain. Every night we have something called " Oración de la mas" where all the missionaries in the whole mission ( almost 200 ) get on a zoom call and one companionship will read a scripture and then say a prayer and will pray for all the people with a baptism date the coming saturday. Ok well anyways while we were waiting for the meeting to start my screen protector fell off my phone and my companion grabs my phone to put it back on but we are in the zoom meeting and in the process of trying to fix my phone our microphone turns on and we dont realize and when we do I instinctivly yell "Frick" and we couldnt turn it off and ...

Week 27: Alejandra's Baptism!!!!!

Image
Welcome to another week! And another baptism!!!!  Tuesdays are always the hardest I think its because we are getting out of the P-Day slump and getting a feel of how the week will be. But we had a fire lesson with Luciano because we are helping him prepare to recieve the priesthood!!! We had a really good lunch where we ate asado and icecream so thats always a bonus and after I was almost went straight to the celetial kingdom as I was almost hit by a bus jajajaj.  The weather here is wack it was a thousand degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday it was cold and so windy. We had a pretty normal day but I was so tired it was hard to get moving. We had some great lessons and found two people to teach! I like wednesdays only because the STLs arent home to annoy us lol.  One day this week ( I think wednesday ) we ate lunch at a members house and had some mystery meat that didnt taste like meat or chicken but looked like it could be either one (either way you don't question the food y...

This week was pretty slow compared to the others. Nothing much happened but heres an update on all our friends. Cesar: Hes still reading and is the book of Mosiah. Hes loving it!! He has offical told us that he KNOWS Joseph Smith was/is a prophet and that the book of mormon is true. Lets just say the smile in my face was so big I was so happy. His baptism date is in 2 weeks so I am very excited for him. Alejandra: she is the mom of to "recient converts" one of her sons is on a mission. And the other is working on his papers. We have been working very hard with her and this past Friday she taught how to make pastel flor ( or something like that ) and its so good!! But her baptism is this saturday so pray for her!!!  Fernanda: she doenst have a baptism date just yet but we are going to wait :) she loves learning and talking with us!  Compared to the other weeks this week was slow but we worked hard. If you remember Luciano he was baptized last week well anyways he has been givin...

Week 25: Luciano's Baptism!!! (Aka Hermana Jensens Miracle Baptism)

I want to start this email by addressing the fact that MY HOME TOWN IS GETTING A TEMPLE!!!! VANCOUVER WASHINGTON!!!!!  I am not kidding when they announced vancouver Washington I literally shouted  "SHUT UP" all the members here looked at me like I was crazy as I started crying jajaja. Literally what a huge blessing!! I am so FREAKIN happy  My focus of this email is Luciano because literally he was our focus this week. Our mission leader in the ward said on monday that the only boy in my life right now was Luciano jajajaja ( he was right ) but it payed it off because...   LUCIANO WAS BAPTIZED!!! And seriously it was a miracle!! My miracle baptism but also the most awkward baptism of my life jajaja. I was so stressed out all this week for his baptism because it wasnt until Thusday that there was a set plan because Monday and Tuesday he told us that he wanted to wait a little longer because he wanted to know more but I shared the fact that we are not going to know ever...
