Week 28: 6 Months!!!

Well i offical have 6 months in the mission. I always thought that october 17 would never come but literally I blinked and here I am. So for those of you who miss me I will be home in less than a year. 


On monday me and Hermana Lemos embarrassed oursleves in front of the whole mission. And you might be thinking how we could do that well let me explain. Every night we have something called " Oración de la mas" where all the missionaries in the whole mission ( almost 200 ) get on a zoom call and one companionship will read a scripture and then say a prayer and will pray for all the people with a baptism date the coming saturday. Ok well anyways while we were waiting for the meeting to start my screen protector fell off my phone and my companion grabs my phone to put it back on but we are in the zoom meeting and in the process of trying to fix my phone our microphone turns on and we dont realize and when we do I instinctivly yell "Frick" and we couldnt turn it off and we literally were just laughing and when we finally turned of the microphone we looked at everyones screen and everyone was laughing at us. 


But on Tuesday when I hit 6 months we had a thunder and lightning storm and we were literally the only ones out in the street in the pouring rain and my companion is also scared of thunder and wouldnt move but we ended up having a few good lesson I was soaking wet and my book of mormon is pretty messed up jajaja.We also tried to make cookies and they actually were a success except the bottoms were burnt but the tops tasted good. Also Hermanas De angelo and Wall made me Mac and cheese and it was actually really good. We also ate icecream cake!!! 


We made friends with this cute little puppy who kept trying to bite us but was so stikin cute

We invited two new people to be baptized 


Paul David: he is the son of a member and has finally decided he wants to be baptized. He is really hard to contact because he is really busy and gets mad when we try to teach him jajaja oh well we put him on date for baptism and we have faith in him 


Anibal: he came looking for us and hes a little strange but pretty funny because he can only remember my name but he always says Hensen instead of Jensen. When we have lessons over the phone I always ask if he has any questions and one time he told me " i have lots of questions but I wont ask them because I cant see your eyes" and one time during a lesson at his house we brought a member along and he said "two of you is fine but with a third its a crowd" but we are a little hesitant to visit him without a member. But he has a bpatism date and also came to church. 


Adrian: we recived a reference with his phone number and address and sent him a message he responded so fast and wanted us to meet with him as soon as possible. We had two calls and then finally on Friday we met with him in person and we brought Luciano along and it was such a good lesson! He also came to church!! 


Things are a little slow but good hope you all are well

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
