Week 27: Alejandra's Baptism!!!!!
Welcome to another week! And another baptism!!!!
Tuesdays are always the hardest I think its because we are getting out of the P-Day slump and getting a feel of how the week will be. But we had a fire lesson with Luciano because we are helping him prepare to recieve the priesthood!!! We had a really good lunch where we ate asado and icecream so thats always a bonus and after I was almost went straight to the celetial kingdom as I was almost hit by a bus jajajaj.
The weather here is wack it was a thousand degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday it was cold and so windy. We had a pretty normal day but I was so tired it was hard to get moving. We had some great lessons and found two people to teach! I like wednesdays only because the STLs arent home to annoy us lol.
One day this week ( I think wednesday ) we ate lunch at a members house and had some mystery meat that didnt taste like meat or chicken but looked like it could be either one (either way you don't question the food you just eat it) anyways and we found out the day after that we had eaten the stomach lining and other inside parts of a cow! How great is that! I am disgusted!
On friday nothing really worked for us all our plans fell through so that meant we were outside walking for over 7 hours my feet and legs were so dead and I was so hot and just not happy jajaja.
In saturday morning we were able to go to the baptism of our STLs and it was in english because they baptized a person from china who doenst know spanish and only knows a little english but it was really cool president Janzen baptized him and the members of their ward gave talks and sung in English. It was really cool!
Ok now for Alejandras baptism and I know I say this everytime we have a baptism but this baptism takes the cake for being the most spiritual I kid you not! We were able to get permission for Alejandras son Diego to call and watch the baptism over zoom because he is on his mission in Brazil ( his mission president joined too jajaja ) and he gave one of the talks and he started crying and then everyone started crying because he was just so happy and the spirit was SOOO strong it was incredible Alejandra was so happy and you could tell how much her sons Diego and Enzo love her and how proud they were of her. It was such a wondeful experience that you cant put into words.
Update on our friends:
Cesar: was out of town all week so his baptism date fell through :( but we are going to work hard with him so he can be baptized in two weeks.
Fernanda: she wont resond to our messages but we have an appointment with her on tuesday so thats a good sign
I would like to share that I finished reading the book of mormon in spanish and I am proud to say that i can understand everything thanks to the book of mormon I cant speak super well but I understand when people talk and thats the most important. The book of mormon is true and changes lives!! If you havent read it I encourage you to get one and read it and then pray to know if its true!
(dont knock it until you try it)
Los amo a todos
