Week 63: 14 Months And A Rough Week

Image
I hit 14 months on the mission crazy crazy Tuesday me and my companion went on the radio with our branch president to talk about our beliefs and answer questions it was super cool and such a fun experience. The two hosts spent about an hour asking us questions about the church, about our missionary work and stuff like that. It was a great way to get people to know more about our church because the radio show is super big here in monteros and everyone listens to it so we used it as a platform to invite people to the church open house and invite people to come to church. It was super cool.  Welcome to the most negative email jajaja... enjoy:  Our friends: Long story short we have no one jajaj  but story time:  If you remember a few weeks back we were teaching the kid of our branch president and how he kept rejecting us and rejecting us well...he rejected us again but.. heres what happened. So on friday we went on visits with our branch president and his wife and freaki...

Week 62: Last Ditch Attempt And Temple Dedication

Hola hola  Heres the run down Crazy stuff this week especially on tuesday because our branch president called us into a meeting and he seemed really sad like super down  and stressed out so we go to the church and we sit in on this meeting and the district presidency propose their last ditch attempt on "saving" the area/branch and if it doesnt work they are going to close it for good. This area hasnt had a baptism in so long ( missionaries here call it the hardest/worst area to work in, me have actually fallen in love with my tiny little branch ) the church attendance is so low that we basically dont even have a sacrament meeting on sundays they basically said that if we cant get more members to come to church by the end of the transfer they are going to close it. Their plan is to move the records of two members to our branch and they are assigned to literally go on visits with us and reactivate familys so every tuesday they are going to visit families with us and help re...

Week 61: Big News

So we are back to living in famailla so we have to travel again back and forth to our area everyday and its really tiring but oh well we will suffer in pacience as the elders say.  We had a fun family home activity on Friday and we had a lot of people show up 🙌🏼 little by little people are reactiviating to the church and its been super cool to see. We ate cheese balls as our treat jajaja you will see in a picture below us with a big bag of cheese balls we bought it because it was super cheap and will last awhile.but it was super funny because it was unnecessarily big.  Fun story...not  Ok so i am pretty sure the shower in the famailla apartment hates americans because every time i go to shower there is never hot water. I can take my shower in any order and its never hot...NEVER but everyone else has a grand old time in their nice and warm showers.  We currently dont have a teaching pool because we dropped everyone but we have plans to find new people this week and ...

Week 60: Frustrating Amigos

She is super awesome but shes a little off and on about recieving us and its been a little frustrating because little miss doesnt live so close and we have to walk a ton and everytime we get there she doesnt answer the door. But its been good she ended up coming to church with her son who has 8 years old and she really enoyed it. She is one more step closer to getting baptized!!! Rafael: ESTA CHICO I swear youth today are so frustrating, back story Rafael is the son of our branch president and boy was it hard telling ...
