Week 75: Interviews And Batman’s A Member

Me and Hermana Ballam have been getting really good exercises in and I have been feeling pretty good. Although my arms did hurt the next day and I had a hard time walking ( probably because for the last 2 months my exercise has consisted of laying on the floor) im on what we call 1 month to ______ ( you fill in the rest ) i havent eaten chocolate in a good 2 days so I am doing well.

On wednesday we had interviews with President Hermosilla and they were so good. He asked me when my leave date was and when i pretended not to know he gave me a look and I was like "oop you got me jajaja" and then he asked if i was trunkie ( dont know how to spell ) i said no and he gave me another look and i said " ok got me again " and he goes " ok I'm glad its good to be trunkie" jajaja that made me laugh. He then asked me a question that i was like " come again?" ( i was really taken a back ) and it took me a good 5 seconds to register the question and it was a little awkward. It was good though we chatted, talked about my study habits and about my area and stuff like that it was fun! 

Dumb quote of the week: 

As we were out and about i was like lets knock some doors. so we walk down the street and I go " lets knock houses that have doors so that way we know people are home" 

( real smart hermana Jensen #crackedthesystem) i meant to say cars but oh well. You would be suprised how many houses dont actually have doors here ( argentina be built different  ) 

Thursday was fun during our member lunch her daughter Virginia asked us questions about what highschool is like in America and then gets all judgy by how long our summer break is I was like whhaaa says the girl who doesnt have school today because its her schools Birthday. and who wont have school next week because its the week of the student ( love her though )

Later as we were walking the 20 year walk to our area I turned on the wrong street and we ended up in a scary alley way and it took a good half hour of trying to get out of that maze of a neighborhood.

At our ward activity we played this chair game and someone stands in the middle and says a question like " if you have black shoes move seats" chill stuff like that. I kid you not the elder who we share a ward with goes " change seats if your not black". we all kind of stared at him and he repeats it again no response he then shouts it AgAiN in english and we are all to dumbfounded to respond until a member speaks up and goes " ummmm hahahaha ok " and i was just sitting there trying not to laugh because i was like theres no way. but he did and it was just... no.words. 

Friday was good we visited our favorite member and she gave us chocolate milk and bread.  it was super fun 

On saturday i had the crazest day. Our morning was so frustrating the bus was an hour late but the reason why is because we were stopped by this young adult he had passed us three times on his bike he was like.. dead staring at us each time but the third time he stops and he asked us about our church and said he wanted to come. Right after he gave us his number and he pedals away the bus showed up. As we are on the bus and getting to our area the bus driver stops gets off and starts peeing i justed shrugged and was like " wlep happens" and Hermana Ballam was just so disgusted hahaha it was so wierd. Later that afternoon as we were going back out to our area the bus was late again. so we walked to another stop to wait there and this man was being so mean to us like MEAN MEAN so we got up and walked away and went to a different bus stop to wait. Long story short the bus didnt show up. and we had waited a good hour and a half so we called our STLs and asked if we could go home and do calls they said we could meet them at the church and do a lesson with them so we did. It was super interesting. Their friend is very philosphical  and told me my definition of who christ is doesnt make sense with the philospical point of view. As we were leaving the lesson we ran into Batman and spiderman and Batman goes " which one of you is from utah" and we are all like whaaaat and he goes " im a member i was baptized "  we were all like Batmans a member. more like bapman ( haha so clever ) it was so funny and spiderman asks about the church and tells us hes going to come so we about to convert him jajajaja. We ended up being really late and had to get a taxi to go home the only problem was that none of us had cash so we gathered all our loose change in our bags and pockets and ended up with 2,000 pesos and we got in the taxi and told him to take us as far as 2000 pesos on the way hermana christensen found 220 pesos in her jacket pocket and we made it home exactly and it was only 2200 pesos the whole ride we were like " will we make will we will we???" And we made it #GodisReal

Sunday: Samuel came to church but the boy still doesnt want to be baptized he wants to be perfect before he makes his covenant with god and every time he says that my face is like.. like hey fun fact only through baptism can you make that happen. he gets it but doesnt hes close though!! Pray for my budihst, Evangelist friend.

Random: 

Hermana Christensen saw us having a bad day and recounted the movie shutter island and Parasite ( idk how to spell ) and dang she did it so good i want to see these movies so bad now!! I am invested digamos hahahahaa
