Week 70: Bautismo De Nicolas

NICOLAS WAS BAPTIZED!!! after a lot of spiritual lessons a a little/alot of pushing by yours truely he was baptized and he was SO THANKFUL!! After his baptism he bore his testimony and wow that guy has a stronger testimony than anyone else here in monteros! A little about Nicolas he is a tattoo artist and an econ teacher but he was a Facebook reference who had a lot of doubts a questions but the more we helped him out and helped him understand the spirit he came to recongnize his answers from god. He still was super hestitant to take the baptism step but I got a little pushy but he was cool with it jaja and thought I was funny but thanked me after for pushing him because he had never felt that close to god so that made me happy. 


Side note: me and Hermana Ballam are famous i swear at least 7 times this week people came up to us wanting to take a picture with us and we thought it was so funny so we agreed jajaja. 

On monday I had a fight with an 80 year old man jajaja. I didnt like fight him physically he just kept being super disrespectful and not being nice and i got really annoyed and he got mad and started bashing us but I tried to stay cool but it didnt work and I got angry and Hermana Ballam said that she was scared of angry Hermana jensenbut we are good he is blocked and now only harrassess us when he sees us in person

Tuesday: a day of full rejection #hardworkdidnotpayoff

Wednesday: I went tracting for the first time and wow i never want to do that again it was what one would call a WASTE OF TIME. If i had to do that all day on my mission I would go home jajaja it was horrible and it started raining. it was just not a fun day what made it worse is that the people werent even mean they are nice and gove you hope and then crush that hope like a bug jajajaj. 

Saturday: presidente Hermosilla showed up in monteros which was a huge blessing because we were able to talk to about a situation that arose and it was super good and now we know what is happening with transfers #ET 

Sunday: Nicolas was baptized and wow I got really angry at some people for not doing their priesthood duty so that was not fun but it all but its all good. 

We get are real transfer news today!

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
