Week 68: Lucas #1 Baptism

Last monday we had a district P day and it was a lot of fun. Who knew playing card games all afternoon would be fun. We also played the game ghetto baseball  and it was super fun until an elder almost broke the microphone and then almost broke the window. We then decided to stop.

This week was so crazy busy!! we found a ton of people and spent a lot of time in the Park. We are currently teaching 5 people and its been so awesome!

Heres are friends with baptism dates theres 2 ( soon to be more ):

Nicolas: what a guy!  literally amazing he is on date for baptism and came to church for a second time so technically he can be baptized on saturday but we will see. He is such a cool guy he has a ton of questions and genially enjoys learning. We had such powerful lessons with him and it was such a fight for him to accept a baptism date but i have gotten really good and bajando la caña but with love and after such a powerful lesson he accepted. He is cool dude #ticktoker. He gave us facturas to eat with our mate, he is basically our best friend right now.

Ricardo: he is a rreference from Facebook and he told us that god told him he needed to be baptized we invited him and he accepted and when we later taught him about Joseph Smith he said he would read the book of mormon and that he wanted his own ttestimony. Hopefully he can get to church pn sunday

BAUTISMO DE LUCAS

What a good day sunday was. President and Hermana Hermosilla came and we had a great baptism service. I showed off my mad violin skills but shame on me because i was asked to play in the next mission conference and lucas was baptized the whole branch showed up ( all 20 of them ) and they were all so happy for him. The story of how we met him is a classic: We found lucas walking home one day and he literally said " hi sisters " yes in english and since then we have taught him and he is honestly the best. His baptism was such a spirit filled event that it was just wow!

Wierd stuff:
We were teaching this guy and he had so much potential and he was like a chosen person like wow elegido but then he confessed his love to me and so we stopped it was a bummer but oh well.

Our friend melanie is in love with our district leader that when we talk to her she only talks about him its kind of wierd but she has a promising future in the church. Plus she came on sunday so boom.

Miracle of the week:
We ate with a member!! Yes a member fed us food!!! It was so good!!

Branch saving update:
We are on fire! Our mission president showed up on sunday and was really amazed with how many people were there ( to be honest I was too ) most of them are what we call eternal investigadores but hey we had a good turn out and the members really popped off in their talks. President Hermosilla had an interview with our branch president and it looks like the branch will be staying open for a little while longer!! My mission president made my day by saying how proud he was of me and the hermana Ballam and that made me happy to know that after weeks of fighting and weeks of hard hard back breaking work we managed to have three baptism, reacticated a few people and give a branch the chance to stay open!! God does answer prayers and sees your efforts!

Good week!
