Week 59: IT SNOWED
Yes if you read the title it snowed! IT snowed!! IT FETCHIN SNOWED!! We woke up on friday to snow yes snow!!! I. COULD. NOT. BELIEVE. IT. my companion flipped out at her first experience with snow and it was just mind boggoling. I was dumb founded to say the least. It lasted less then a day but still it was just.
Another fun story: like usual we are working and i need to use the bathroom but theres literally no place to go and i needed to go. We casually walk past a very large catholic church and i stop and my companion literally goes " do you have to go that bad" i shrug and walk in and theres literally only one person so we quietly walk up to her and we notice shes praying so we awkwardly stand there waiting for her to finish and we are just glimpsing around when another lady enters, notices us and storms towards us and literally starts yell screaming at us and literally throws us out of the church and shuts the door ( it was like a scene in a movie ). We were kind of startled at her anger because we were just standing there and there was a sign outside that said visiters welcome, but oh well happens. But we found a place to use the bathroom and all is well.
Gabriela: so we got this reference ( gabriela ) who is literally gold! We got in contsct with her right away and she told us how she wanted to change her life so we put her on date for baptism. She has some hard family relationships but she has a ton of potential and we are super excited to see what will happen.
This week was really slow we are having a hard time finding people and trying to inspire the members to help us and its just been a struggle. But we have seen so many blessings and its super cool to see how even though there are so few members here thst are super strong in their testimonies. The youth here especially are so inspiring. In one of the photos below you will see a picture of us in a bus and that is three branches pit together and the only people from our branch that came is every teenage that you see. We showed up at the church and it was pouring rain and when we get there all the youth are there at 7:00 in the morning to go the district conference and it was super cool to see them there even when none of their leaders showed up.
We have started to teaxh Rafael again because he is such a sweet kid and deserved the blessings of the gospel so we are going to put him on date this week SÍ O SÍ!!!
Also we are back into our apartment and let me tell you we cleaned that thing up!! It was so bad full of fungus, mold and just bad but we took a whole day and cleaned it so well. There is no mold, fungus or anything just a weird smell in one of the rooms but we put a fan there and we leave the window open which sucks because its so freaking cold here so we wake up frozen every morning and when we asked for a heater the elders in the mission office literally said " hermanas thats difficult but be paciente in thine aflictions" ( I hate when they say that ) so we freeze our butts off every night.
Thats all for this week
Los amo a todos
