Week 57: Temple Open House Pt 2, Monteros Es LOCISIMO

On monday we didnt have pday because we were still working at the temple open house and we finally got to do a tour!! We were given a private tour of the temple and WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! The tour guide with his wife took us into all the rooms. While we were in the sealing room I was standing right in front of the mirrors and I saw a Billion jordans looking at me and it made me laugh jajaj but it made me think of how lucky we are to not only be with our loved ones here in this life but that we can be with them after death as well. Later the tour guide and his wife took us to  the brides room and we had such a spiritual moment where his wife told us how special we were and the spirit was so strong that we were all in tears. They then told us to stand one by one in front of the mirror and see how much god loves us and wow it was so amazing even though i looked ugly jajaja I knew god loved me so much in that moment and that i truely was a daughter of god who loves me and who has a plan for me. I felt really good and warm inside. Seeing the room celestial was wow just wow even though its not a dedicated temple the spirit was still there and it was just a cool experience to see the temple and feel so much love.

Tuesday wad our last day working and the open house and it was super fun. A group of teenage Boys skipped school to came and they werent members ( except one ) and they were so excited about the temple that they gave us their numbers so fast. At the end of the day we were given a tour but this time with a different tour guide and he spoke with such power and the spirit was so just wow we again went into the sealing room and he spoke of what a privilage it is to be sealed to a worthy person and to make this room this covenant our most important goal in life. He shared an experience he had in the temple about a family who gave up everything they had just to visit the closest temple and be sealed so that no one would be lost the the next life. He then took us to the brides room again and touched our hearts by sharing his marriage experience it was funny but super sweet and again spoke about the love our heavenly father has for us abd how we are all divine and precious in gods eyes.

I can truely say that just working at the temple open house strengthed my testimony of the temples and our purpose in this life. I feel so blessed to know that god loves me has provided me with so many blessings and ways to return to him. He loves us so much that he lets us stsy with our familias forever. During these few days i was asked many questions and one being " why can only members enter the temple after the dedicaction? its not fair you cant keep people from eternal blessings " me and the Hermana Cunha expressed to one couple that the temples are sacred and that we dont keep anyone from recieving gods blessings. We in fact invite all the come unto to christ because we know that god has blessing in store for them. While we were on break a Hermana named the Hermana Mortasini shared a very profund statement she said " people think we are holding them back from reciving the temple blessing after the dedication but think of the temple as the literal celestial kingdom and the tour as our life right now people can enter the temple and see what they need to do to enter to live with god but after our life on earth the doors will close our chances lessen and only the faithful will be able to enter the doors of heaven and be with god. We arent holding them back at all we are showing them the means which they can obtain the blessings but everyone has their agency to choose"

Wednesday we took our 5 hour bus ride to tucuman and it took 8 hours because the bus broke down jajaja. We had to wait for 3 hours for a new bus to pick us up and we were in the middle of no where but it was super fun and hot but a fun story to tell.

When we got to the apartment and opened the door. MY GOODNESS!!! The smell was horrible like so bad and the wall of the study room was covered and I mean COVERED in mold and fungus. Our bunkbeds and bedroom walls,  mattresses and pillows were all covered in green and black fuzzy things it was so bad. We called Hermana Janzen and she said to leave and stay the night in Famailla with the hermanas there so we had a fun sleepover party.  We stayed the night and on thursday we moved back in. We came to find out that we werent suppose to go back so we got a frantic call on friday to take ALL our stuff and move to famailla. So we ran around lilke crazy chickens with masks on ( the air in our apartment is toxic jajaj ) trying to find a member to drive us. We found a member and he piled his car and i mean piled it until every last suitcase fit and we drove the 30 minute drive to famailla and my suitcases were tied to the top with one piece of string each its a miracle we made it with all our things.

Saturday was the crazest day of my life. Since we are now living in famailla we have to travel back innforth every day to our area and its expensive and on saturday we had nothing 0 pesos like NOTHING so we had no way to return so we spent all morning trying to take money out and after lots of prayers god blessed us with money.

Ok CRAZIEST story of my life that no one will believe but it happened:
So on saturday to get home we had to take a bus so we get on the bus and head home. Well famailla came and went so we frantically tried to get off and the bus driver stops and leaves us IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE. lets set the scene: 9:00 at night ( we are late home ), its cold, no signal, pitch black and in the middle of a highway. Thankfully there was a gas station, so we walk there thinking we could find a remis. What we did find was one car and two drunk men. We walked up to them and asked where we could find a remis and they start laughing in our face and go " a taxi there is no taxi for miles" and without thinking i go " thats great now we are really lost " they look at me all serious and go " your lost" we shake our heads yes and they go " where do you need to go" and i go " famailla" and they go " we'll take you " now you might be thinking: you did not please tell me you did not and i just know my parents are probably going to die but it was the only option so... yes we got in the car ðŸ’€and these two drunk men drove us home. I. Am. NOT. KIDDING. We let them drive us home. it was so funny they were SO DANG DRUNK!!! i mean swerving all over the place and laughing their heads off. When we got in the car they go " dont worry we arent going to kidnap you even though the american is worth a lot " They just continued to laugh and we went on our way. When they found out we were mormon they offered us beer jajaja i was dying so hard of laugher that i wasnt even scared. But we made it home safe and sound. Whats wierd is that none of us even questioned the fact to ask the two men or question if we should get in the car. We just did it. and I know these two men were angels sent from god to help us because they actually broke down and the other guy had to come and help fix his car and so they had two cars able to fit the 4 of us and take us home.

On sunday we had our friend Jojo ( jocelyn) come to church yes we have the same nickname, she came last week but since we spent all week in the temple we havent met her yet until sunday and we have plans to invite her to be baptized. Monteros is teeny tiny about 10 people or less were at church and four of those people were us missionaries but i love it anyways!!!

Hope you all are well and that every mother had a great mothers day!

Shout out to my amazing mother whos literally the best!!!!

Los amo a todos
