Week 54: 1 Year And Cookies

Wow i have offically made it one year into the mission!! Thats actually so crazy!!! 


This week was good. 


In monday night we made cookies and gave them out to three converts that arent coming to church. You might say it was a bribe but...they didnt answer the door so our efforts failed but we gave them out to less active members and the converts that are coming and of course the active members. Who doesnt love an american chocolate chip cookie. 


On wednesday I woke up to a cute little suprise waiting for me on my desk. My companion the Hermana Lazarte and the two other sisters that we live with the Hermana Miller and the Hermana Morkel made me a cute little banner with balloons and gave me lots of treats to celebrate my one year mark. It was super sweet. 


On Thursday we traveled to San Salvador to get the vaccines for the Hermana Lazarte. 


On Friday I made some more cookies but I literally burnt my finger so bad it hurt so bad #3degreeburn. But good thing the Hermana Lazarte has a unnecessarily big first aid kit and put this magic cream on my finger to make it feel better. It worked i woke up pain free jajaja. 


Saturday we planned a very fun ward activity and no one showed up but we made do with the 6 people who kindly came to support us. 


On sunday our toliet literally flooded and it was so funny having to ask our ward dad ( a guy who is literally my argentinan father ) came and fix it. He showed up with a tool box and everything and ended up sending to the ward group chat that we broke our toliet and that he needed help. It was a little funny having a bunch of dads in our apartment fixing a toliet! It was a 6 person job i guess. 


Random story: 
Our crazy member friend told us how the angel moroni has been stalking her. I couldnt contain my smile i just looked at her trying not to laugh. Shes strange but i always love visiting her. 


Our friend Abigail is progressing well. She is coming to church and is preparing for her baptism in 2 weeks. I probably wont be there for it because we get transfer news this week and i am probably leaving so thats sad but its ok!

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
