Week 52: Renes Baptism, Conference And Interviews
Welcome back! This week was a stressful one but full of miracles
Rene:
Renee was a reference that we received from the Facebook Pages as a mission we don't work on Facebook we have people from the Church that actually work for us so we basically get free references. Anyways about 3 weeks ago we get this reference from a guy named Renee and so we decided to visit him. He was a little strange but we thought he was just i don't know how to explain... wierd. But we kept visiting him and we realized that he had kind of hard time remembering things but we started to teach him and we continued to help him and he started to come to Church, we learned that he had a few problems with the word of wisdom so we helped him overcome his addictions and it was a miracle he was able to overcome all his addictions and he had all his Church attendance but the only problem was is he couldn't remember anything like literally nothing and so on monday we actually visited him and we asked him what he could remember from the things that we taught him and he said "hermanas i can't remember a lot of things" and we asked him like why and he goes " I suffered a brain injury and i now suffer from shortterm memory loss" ( that explained why in every lesson we reviewed he stood like with a blank stare on his face ) it kind of freaked me out because his baptism interview was in two days and if he couldn't remember the things that we had taught him he wouldn't be able to be baptized so i started to do everything in my power that would allow him to be baptized i wrote out all the baptism questions, i literally highlighted the answers i made a little flash cards, i gave him lots and lots of materials to help him be able to remember and lots and lots of prayers by myslef and with him and in every prayer that we said he asked the Lord to help him remember and the night of his interview we were waiting and waiting for the elders to give us the okay and it took almost an hour when we finally got a message from our district leaders telling us he didnt pass but we couldnt tell if they were just joking so we literally had to ask if we had a baptism because they literally made no sense in their stupid voice message they then told us he passed and we were so happy. It was a miracle that he was able to remember all the commandments he told us the next day " hermanas i didn't use any of my papers i was able to remember because i said a prayer beforehand and i remembered " that made us super happy. He was baptized on Saturday allowing me to not only help him make a convenant with the lord and change his life but I also lived a dream of mine which was to teach and baptize a man jajajaj. And I did it!!!He did it!!!! I was SO happy and it was just a good baptism a miracle I would say. He told us he was really happy he made the choice to follow god and start a new life that made me so happy!!! Miracles happen everyday and I can say I have been at the front line of some of them this week! God is good!!!
Conference: wow conference was so good. The only thing is our wifi cut out and then our signal so we missed a lot of it because it was gliching like crazy but I just love conference this conference I went in with a very specific question and I recieved a ton of answers and i just felt really uplifted and more sure of a lot of things in my life. I can testify that the profeta is called of god and recieves divine revelation for the world. Also another temple was announced in Argentina!!! Vamos!!!!
We recieved flu shots and had interviews with presidente!! It was super good. Welñ it was going good until he told me to tell him how I really feel and I started crying. He had to reassure me that i am not failing as a missionary and as a trainer ( he hinted that I would be training again) He also said i had one of best attitudes out of everyone ( interesting ). He told me to be pacient and the lord will bless me in unimaginable ways. He is a man called of god and it looked like he was glowing when he gave me that promise. It was a good interview and i felt much better afterwards.
Thats all for this week
Los amo a todos
