Week 46: Fast Week

This week was another fast one. I really cant remeber what happened. Monday I had zone conference, tuesday I had P-Day and Thursday we had exchanges. It was actaully fun. Normally i dont like exchanges because I hate planning them but I did them with Hermana Villagomez. If you remember we lived together in my first area ( Metan ) at the start of my mission so it was actually fun to be able to understand her and communicate with her. We had a fun time together!!

We ate lots of ice cream because it literally hit over 42 degrees almost every day and for you americans thats like over 107 degrees but Friday oh man it rained and there was a huge thunder and lightning strom but rain, snow, thunder, lightning, heat we are in the streets even though the streets were literally rivers and up to our calves its the lords work and needs to be done. ( que grandiso es nuestro llamamiento)

Story: we went to one of our favorite members for lunch and ok it was so funny because she talks so much that she doenst even wait for us to answer so shes basically having a conervsation with herself. She also gives us a ton and I mean a TON of food. My whole plate was full of rice and she put a milanesa on and goes " wow thats a really small piece" and it was literally huge and when I finish she goes " do you want more"  and before I can answer she put what looked like a whole fetchin chicken on my plate and I still had a ton of rice to eat.  I dont know how but I finished it and for desert she gave us half a cake to eat each. Me, Hermanas Lopez y Souza literally felt like exploding while walking to the church to study. But we werent hungry the rest of the day. 

On Sunday our Bishop had asked us to give talks and my topic was about taking upon us the name of christ. I thought long and hard about this because as a missionary I do his every day. I literally wear his name and testify of him every second. I used one of the sacrament prayers were it says we are willing to take upon his name. I think the word willing is key. We can say that we are disciples and members of his church but what are we willing to do to show him that we are willing to take upon his name. This is a convenant of sacrifice and something we should do every day not just once a week in church. 

My week was fast but as always
