Week 24: Lourdes's Baptism And Bye Bye Braatz

What a week! 


Tuesday I taught these little girls what a boonerbaner was they thought it was a really funny word and if you dont know what a boonerbaner is its basically when theres two things stuck together ( its something that my mom says ) anyways they thought it was funny and kept yelling "boonerbaner"  


Wednesday our prophet is back jajaja. Ok our friend Paola literally disappeared for like 4 weeks and we thought she died because we went from talking every day to nothing well Tuesday night we finally got a text saying she was taking a break from the world ( if I didnt tell about her in my other emails basically she thinks shes a prophet and has all these wild ideas ) turns out shes actually crazy jajajaj. We went to her house talked for like an hour ans we realize she has a literal dead armadillo on her cabinet jajaja. All in all a really good visit and she still wants to be baptized so we'll see what happens. 


We went on exchanges and it was so freakin hot I am literally dying here and about 5 times a day someone mentions how red my face is and they tell me to wear sunscreen it gets really annoying jajaja but we were given ice pops!!


If you remember Lautaro ( he was baptized two weeks ago ) well he told us this week that he not only wants to serve a mission but that he will serve one!! Me and Hermana braatz are so happy and proud :) 


Saturday: was so freakin hot I am literally dying and its only spring. But today Lourdes was baptized and I am not kidding she was all smiles. The whole thing was so spiritual and she seemed like a whole new person afterwards. Also miracles occurred all our friends ( Cesar, David and Luciano ) came to the baptism and loved it so I am very excited for them to of had the ability to see a baptism and feel the spirit so strongly in preparation for their baptism! 


Our Friends: 
Fernanda: we met her outside a store and we started talking because she is learning English. So we start talking and she mentions that shes seen a video on prayer that the church put out and how much she loves it so we start talking a little bit but she has to go so we gave her a pamphlet on the plan of salvation and she leaves. Me and Hermana Braatz stay outside the store and tried talking to the lady in the window she didnt seem to interested so we turn to leave and guess whose back Fernanda had walked back to.give us her number and address and tells us to come visit her. And of course we do we have like and hour and half meeting with her answering all her questions and she is so excited to learn more 


Cesar: Hes my favorite ( shh its a secret ) but we literally get along so well. Hes an older guy and literally guys hes reading the book of mormon every night and absoultey loved the baptism.


Luciano: he is so hard to contact but when we do find him the lessons are always really good. I always start laughing during our lessons and I dont know why its probably because he is really awkward and doesnt talk and so the akward silence sometimes makes me nervous and makes me laugh but his baptism if this Saturday and he is a little hesitant so keep him in your prayers. If you love me you will pray because I am stressing out about this!!!! Jk jajajaj 


Well this tranfer has come to an end and sadly Hermana Braatz is leaving me and I will be reciving a new companion today her name is Hermana Lemos and she is from Brazil so guess who gets to lead another area yep me jajaj. Wish me luck!

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
