Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana! 

Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud. 

Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we didnt teach good enough and me and Hermana Braatz looked at each other and our hearts sunk and we must of looked liked we were going to cry because Kiara ( the sister of Lautaro ) freaked out smiled and started laughing saying it was a joke and that our district leaders told them to fake it. We were so mad that the Elders were able to turn them aganist us but happy that Lautaro had actually passed. Our District leaders called us apolozing and tried to butter us up to get back in our good side by telling us how good we did at teaching Lautaro but we were pissed jajaja. All in all its funny now but in the moment I wanted to kill both of them. 

Saturday: Both me and Hermana Braatz woke up really grumpy and the morning was just all around a mess. Everything started to fall apart for the baptism and it was so stressful. We couldnt find white clothes and the person who was going to baptize Lautaro called and said he didnt feel like it. You can probably guess how i reacted I was SO angry and we were scrambling all day to find some in the ward who could do the baptism. We finally got everything settled and arrived at the church only find that the water wasnt working. If you can remember my first two baptisms in Metan had problems with the water. I think I am cursed. It was a literaly miracle that a member of the ward could fix it. But when Lautaro showed up and was baptized all the problems we had in the morning and throughout the day didnt matter. His baptism was so spirtual and I am so happy for him. He and his family were so happy and I love them all so much. I truly am blessed to have been apart of his conversion. 

Some other things this week:

Two guys tried to get me and Hermana Braatz to get in their car that was scary but  funny because it was so obvious that they were high jajaja.

Things are a little crazy here in salta because its the month of the virgin de milagros so everyone is out partying and storming the streets with huge statues and singing songs through the night. So we havent slept much this week. 

We have a new amigo that we are teaching his name is Luciano he is 19 and is literally another Lautaro and its so fun. He is really quiet but has so much potential. The only problem is he keeps going to church in the ward of our zone leaders so...we need to work on that lol 

Lourdes is doing great I tried to be really direct with her about needing to meet up more than 1 day a week and I felt so bad when she sent a message apolozing but it worked jajajaja.

If all goes right which I have faith it will. We will have another baptism this week and it will be the grandpa of Lautaro,  Flavio. The only thing is he is really shy and timid so if you would like pray for him and his baptism!!!!
