Week 21: Just Another Week

Welcome to another week in Argentina! 


I fell two times this week jajaja 


Fall #1: Monday night while traveling back to our area after district counsel we were on the public bus and it was very crowded and me and Hermana Braatz were in the middle well this teenage boy stood up to give his seat to this old lady ( how sweet ) well this act of kindness led to him falling on top of me jajaja. The bus jerked at just the right time and he flew into me knocking me to the ground and it was funny but he was all flustered and felt really bad Hermana Braatz just laughed at me all in all it actually hurt pretty bad.


Fall #2 Hermana Braatz decided to take a short cut through some train tracks and started showing of her balancing skills by walking on the thin part of the track well my competitive side kicked in and I started to do it too but slipped and rolled my ankle and landed really hard on my side. Again Hermana Braatz just laughed but it was my own stupid fault jajaja


I cut myself on a sketchy tire swing word of advice dont swing on a random tire swing thats being held up by cable wire. 


Its hotter than Mars here and I am actually dying the members here laugh at me because its just the beginning of spring and its only going to get hotter so wish me luck.


I forgot my mission tag one morning and felt so naked without I made a new one out of paper jajajaj. 


Broke a mission rule and hopped a fence because we couldnt get the fence door to the church open so I hopped it to pull from the other side. Turns out someone closed it wrong and a metal pole was stuck in the wrong place but dont fear I got it unstuck 


Updates on our Amigos: 
We invited Lautaro to be baptized on Saturday but he wanted to wait until this Saturday because he wanted to be baptized with his grandpa ( Flavio ) but his grandpa didnt come to church so we had to drop his date :(


We put another girl ( Lourdes ) on date for baptism she is the sister of a recient convert but she wants to wait until October but we are going to try to work with her to help her feel ready for the 23 of September! 


Our other friend Paola is intresting she has really unique beliefs and never lets us get a word in like I am not kidding the other day we had a phone call with her and she talked for 10 minutes straight about this lemon pie she made so we hung up and called again and when she answerd she was still talking. We are not sure what will happen this week with her jajaja.


4 of our friends baptism dates fell. Basically it means that they didnt come to church enough times to be baptized so we are not sure what to do about it but I think we are still going to work with 2 out of the 4 of them ( Flavio and Paula ) because both just need to come to church one more time and we are going to invite new dates for them to be baptized. 


Spanish update: 
I think my Spanish is progressing well. I am trying to have more confidence in myself and in the holy ghost. But things are going slowly but good. 


Mission change: 
With a new mission president we have had a lot of changes and one of them is the use of facebook. Facebook is BANNED from my mission jajaja. Lowkey kind of sucks but I am sure there is a reason.

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
