Week 20: Goodbye Stepmother

On monday I ran into my mamá in the mission Hermana Labbé and it was fun because I actually understand her now when she speaks!! We also went to this cathedral and got really weird looks because we are missionaries of another church but it was cool 


Well its offical Hermana Willden has left us. She is training a new missionary and went to a different area :( I am still here in Vicente Solá with Hermana Braatz and we are crushing it. 


Early in the week we recieved a reference and decided to meet up with her in the church where we had a really weird lesson. Every time we tried to talk she started talking and then she started crying and we had no idea what she was saying because her accent is a little different and she was talking REALLY quietly. We invited her to be baptized and she said yes but we dont know how serious she is about it because shes been baptized in almost every other church lol. 


For Hermana Willdens 7 meses we attempted to make cookies and we failed horribly. They did not turn out. We ate them anyways jajajaj. 


This week while walking Hermana Willden and Hermana Braatz started retelling movies and I couldnt remember any movies so I started retelling Avatar the last airbender and I was actually really impressed with my self because I remembered all of it yes all three seasons jajaja. 


I actually had the chance to sit in on the meeting for the new trainers and it was really cool we have 18 new missionaries here in salta and it was cool to listen to everyones ideas on how to train and help the new missionaries. 


Ok heres some good ups this week:
We put two new people on date for baptism and mother and daughter they are awesome and love it when we stop by their house unannouced and eat their food jajajaj. But seriously they are awesome and have lots of potential. 


Another up is Lautaro came to church again so he can be baptized but we have so much faith in him that we want to move up his date for this Saturday!!!!!  ojalá he wants to but TENGO FE!!!!!! So if you want you should pray for him :) 


I went on exchanges with Hermana Wall ( she is from England ) and I was really suprised at how much Spanish I actually know so it was fun teaching and finding new people with her. 


On saturday we were looking in the church library and I found a braile book of mormon and i thibk its the first time in my life I have seen a braile book so that was really cool. I also stole some books to help with my book of mormon scripture study jajaja

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
