Week 19: Soy Hermana Jensen Tengo Dieciocho Anos Y Soy De Cananda

Well this week was fun I hit 4 months in the mission and saw a few miracles in my life here!

Monday we hiked this hill but it felt like a Mountain I dont know what has happened to me but I was dying and I walk all day every day but this hike almost killed me. We had to stop and rest every 5 minutes. I was humbled to the ground and depressed at the fact that I can't hike for more than 45 minutes. But the view was pretty.

We put 6 yes 6 people on date for baptism. Friday was a miracle filled day. Here in my mission we invite people to be baptized our very first contact with them. Yes you heared that right the very first time we meet a person we lead the conversation to baptism and invite them to be baptized and it works! Especially Friday every new reference we recieved accepted a baptism date it was insane!  All our plans worked out and we taught a ton of lesson. The person with the most potential is Lautro he is the brother of 2 recient converts and he is really interested and wants to have the change he saw in his sisters when they were baptized. On saturday we went to teach a lesson to Lautro but he wasnt home and as we walked away the sister ( a recient convert ) comes running out of the house and with a huge smile on her face goes " my grandpas reading the book of mormon!" We stop dead in our tracts turn around and excitedly enter the house once more and with huge smiles on our faces talk to him about what hes been reading which is almost all of it! I don't think I have been so happy here in my mission than when I heard he was reading the book of mormon I seriously almost cried.

Fun fact: My companions have literally stopped talking in lessons and I do everything its really helping my spanish and I have realized that I dont look at anyone in worry because I just talk and the words come and they understand me. The funny thing is I was corrected about two different times this week when I entroduced myself the first is when I said I was eighteen Hermana Willden goes "Hermana no you are 19" it was like a brain burst I was all " oooohhh yeah hahahaha" the next is when I said I was from Canada and again Hermana Willden was like " no you are not you are from Washington" it took me a second to realize my mistake.

The best thing this week was on friday when we knocked on this door and this lady answers and we ask if this lady Alejandra is home and shes like "theres no one with that name here" and we're like "we're pretty sure there is" so she leaves and this new lady answers and we ask to speak to Alejandra and shes all "thats me" and where like "your Alejandra and shes all "no whose Alejandra" then leaves and a third lady comes and we ask to speak to Alejandra and shes all "theres no one here with that name" and at this point we are like why are they lying to us we were here yesterday and spoke with Alejandra and this lady is like "I am telling you there is no Alejandra maybe try next door" and all three of us look at the next door and realize that we were at the wrong house. We lost it it was so funny we couldnt pull ourselves together.

Saturday was a bit of a rough day only because I got butt hurt when this man literally throw our pamphlet at me and it hit my face :( heres the story: we were just walking to our lunch ( we were running VERY late ) when this man stops us and asks us if we believe in god and as we are talking I hand him this pamphelt and told him we were very sorry but couldnt talk due to the fact that we were running very late ( also he was drunk and homeless ) but invited him to read it and he yells right in my face and throws it at me hard and tells us that we are evil. We kind of just walked away wierdly and I was all butt hurt because he called me evil and throw pictures of jesus at me.

Sunday was great we had three of our people on date for baptism come to church which was really good because we got a suprise when we walked in the chaple and saw our mission president and his wife just sitting there. It was fun introduccing our friends to them and talking a bit about what we do at church and why.

We are pretty excited for this coming week because Paula, Lautaro, and the grandpa of Lautaro all have amazing potential and all came to church and really liked it!

We also have tranfers this week I am staying here with Hermana Braatz while Hermana Willden is leaving to train a new missionary it was sad when we got the news but I am glad I am staying because I have come to really love the people here.

Los amo a todo
