Week 16: Lesson With Puppies

Howdy everybody


Theres not much to talk about this week but I do have a few fun stories to share


1. As we were working one day we come up to this house and attempted to find this lady and so you know I clapped my hands and shouted hola and this garage door thing opens and literally 6 basically naked dudes are just standing there and I am trying so hard not to laugh and my companion couldnt see what I could and I am trying to ask this guy a question but hes basically naked and I was laughing so hard so I had to end the interaction Hermana Willden was so confused but when I told her what I saw she laughed so hard. 


2. On Saturday we went to a teaching appointment and all these puppies were out side and this little girl comes out and asks if we want to hold them and of course I say yes and so we start talking to her and during the lesson the puppy fell asleep in my arms it was so cute!!!!! We invited her to be baptized she said no but as an apology she said we could name the puppies we were holding I was tempted to name it after me but I thought that was selfish lol so I named the puppy Luna :) 


A miracle this week was that we were given a reference and at first for like 2 days we couldnt contact her but the third day Thursday she was home and we started talking and wow she is the sweetest person. Her name is Dandara and she has incredible art skills. We invited her to be baptized and she said yes so I am pretty excited. We also got another reference and its a family and if you know the mission having a family to teach is like pure gold we are going to try to contact them this week so hopefully it all goes well. 


A bit about my Spanish. Somedays I feel so confident and so sure in the langauge and other days I dont know anything. Its really annoying but literally on Wednesay we were at a members house just talking and like half way through the conversation I'm like " wait I am understanding everything" It was crazy and I was so excited but then the next day I could barely talk again it was the strangest thing. But I can see the little bits of improvement every week.

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
