Week 13: Bye Bye Mamá And Breaking The Rules

A story from last week that I forgot to share: I am so embarrassed a member asked me to pray in English so I was like " of course!" But GUYS!!! I FORGOT ENGLISH!!! I am not kidding. I couldn't remember English words. It was so embarrassing after the prayer they just looked at me and laughed and went " ella no recuerda inglés" I wanted to die but I guess that just means I am getting the hang of Spanish.

Today we have transfers and my mission mamá ( my companion and trainer ) has been called as a STL ( basically the head Sister of a zone ) and is leaving me today. I am actually writting this email while we wait for her bus. My new companion is Hermana Wilden she is American, but she wont be here until Thursday so my temporary companion is my Italian bestie Hermana Roselli!!!

This week we had a zone conference to meet our new mission president his wife. And I actually understood a conference for once because it was in English lol.

Brisa and Guadalupe accepted our baptismal invitations but... they didnt attend church so the dates failed but... I insisted on working another week with Brisa so pray for her!!

Also me and Hermana Labbé are breaking the rules because we started teaching a man named Agustín and extended a invitation to be bautized and when he accepted it he added the fact that he is on house arrest and has problems with the police but guys when we were teaching the spirit was so strong and was pushing me extend the baptismal invitation and after the lesson me and Hermana Labbé both agreed that he really wants to change and is actually growing a testimony. But our STLs said to stop but... we are still in contact with him and continue to teach through phone calls and texts.

I am a little nervous for this next transfer because my new trainer doesnt know the area or the people and I barely know the area and the people but I have to teach her the area while she teaches me how to be a misisonary. I am also nervous because I am realizing how little Hermana Labbé taught me I love her to death but I hardly know how to plan a day, lesson and other important things :(. But I guess its time to learn! I am going to miss Hermana Labbé and all her help in my spanish. I have been learning the langauge pretty quicky and make less mistakes and can actually teach almost an entire lesson with questions and everything and its all thanks to Hermana Labbé. She PUSHED me this first tranfer but I am all the better for it. My mission mamá is leaving me forever.

Funny little story: Today Hermana Labbé needed to use the bathroom but we are at the bus stop so we walk to the bathroom and she literally had to buy the toilet paper from a homeless lady outside the door and she literally gave us one square lol. The look on Hermana Labbés face was priceless she looked so done.

Con todo amor en el mundo
