Week 12: Adiós Presidente And A Week Of Crazy

Hola my friends across the globe!

Its official we have a new mission president and we are twins because we have the same last name ( sorta its spelt different but pronounced the same). The hard thing is they are American and speak 0 Spanish so guess who gets to attempt to translate yeah I do its funny because when they start talking my companion looks at me and I just shrug and do my best. But I am no longer the worst at spanish in the mission lol. ( kidding but not kidding )

This week I felt like there was something crazy everyday

On Tuesday we had to pick up a box of Book of mormons that weighed about 40 pounds and had to carry it about 3 miles back to the apartment what was hard was my companion couldnt lift it ( shes weak ) so I was the one who got to carry it.I wanted to die I thought my arms were going to fall off and I was so sore the next day.

Wednesday I was almost attacked and bit by a dog. We were trying to find this reference and we walked up this literal mountain to find her only to have her dog chase us back down. I dont think I have ever been more scared of a dog.

Thursday almost attacked by another dog my companion was actually bit by the dog it was kinda funny because it bit her butt. The dog almost bit me but I threw a rock at it so it left me alone.

Friday and Saturday no sleep for 2 days because I was so sick I could barely walk my stomach hurt so bad but my companion didnt let me sleep she forced me out of bed and made me work. The entire day thought I was going to die I was so dizzy and just so out of it. On saturday she FORCED me to go to the sketchy hospital ( I was refusing to go because I was thinking " there is no way I will leave that place alive". She literally had to drag me out the door.) They gave me a mystery shot I dont know what it was it looked like rusty water and probably was but I am all better so I guess it worked it was either that or God that healed me. It was probably God because theres no freakin way that shot was healthy. Also we had no electricty these two days so that was fun. No water, heat no lights ( solo la luz de cristo ) its a memory for sure.

I also learned how to make empanadas and I was called a real latino because I am a literal god at folding the dough Hermana Rita told me I was more latino than my companion because I was better than her lol.

Now for those we are teaching
We are still teaching Brisa, Luciano and Celeste love them they are the best! We hope that this week Brisa accepts a baptism date!! Pray for her!  We have a new lady whose name is Eugenia she is about 43 and is really interested and knows a lot we have a lot of faith in her. Julian is 18 and accepted a baptismal date so fingers crossed. Its hard to contact him because he doesnt have a cellphone and he is never home when we try to teach him so I dont know what will happen. Our friend Guadalupe is AWESOME! we hope to invite her to be baptized this week so pray for her as well! I cannot exprese how much I loge tje people here it is so amazing my heart us just so filled with love every day. Its so easy to love the people here they are all so amazing. I love the work and love the gospel more than anything. The days are so hard and mentally exhausting but my testimony is growing every day and its just so amazing.

Los amo a todos
