Week 9: Blisters And Braids

This week went by so fast I cant believe its already monday again. Its so weird how fast the days go but it is really nice because we are always so busy.

Like the title says I have blisters all over my left foot. I spend most of my days walking miles upon miles but I am loving it. My right leg is also covered in bug bites but they are not regular mosquito bites these one cause you to bleed :( and its very annoying and painful. I'll probably get some kind of disease but oh well.

I am also the town braider. During lessons I braid the hair of those we are teaching. The little girls love it and I also teach the mamas how to do it. My companion everyday asks me to braid her hair its fun.

On wednesday I ate my weight in empanadas but the lady kept giving me more and I felt bad saying no and they were also DELICIOUS!!!! Every time a finished my plate she gave me another I almost threw up afterwards.

On friday it was so hot but as we were walking a man comes running at us and asks me if I speak English and motions for us to follow him. He takes us to his shop and tells me to speak english with his children because they are studying english and want practice. It was fun I got to teach the gospel in English and its really wierd. I invited them to church and they said yes!!!!
As we left we realized they dont live in our area so we had to refer them to the other hermanas. I was so sad because I was so excited to continue teaching them but now I cant.

About twice a week me and my companion hike up a literal mountain to teach this little girl and it takes 1 hour just to get to her house but its always worth it. She is so excited to learn every single time

We are still teaching luanas mom and wow how I admire her! She is such a wonderful mom and women and she wants to know the gospel so bad.
We are also teaching a man named Juan he is a little skeptial about the church but is really interested in the book of mormón.
We met a boy named lucas he was refered to us by luanas mom. He is so sweet and really interested in the church and baptism.

On saturday we went to a church activity where I was forced to play a game but I won and every started chanting " Estados Unidos" it was very funny.

I love the members here they are all so helpful and loving on friday I was having a really hard day and one of the members we were teaching noticed that I looked stressed and overwhlemed she got up and gave me a big hug and I had no idea how badly I needed a hug she is a momther of three and said that I looked like I needed a motherly hug and boy was she right.

Anyways thats all for this week

I love you all
