Week 11: Que Feo And Little To No Success

Hello hello


This week was frustrating. We had no success. We were rejected left and right.I also had the door slammed in my face for the first time so I think that offically makes me a missionary. Also we got yelled at this week a few times and my compaion looked really hurt and offended I didnt know what they were saying so I just smiled and looked like an idiot nodding along.  But we at least found 4 people who have great potiental.


First is luciano, celeste and Brisa. Celeste and Brisa are sisters and Luciano is the boyfriend of Celeste. They are 15,17 and 18 and so funny. Luciano is so funny during a lesson we invited him to pray and he yells " NO QUIERO ORAR!!!" Me and hermana Labbe lost it but in the end he said the prayer. Although he didnt do it correctly I was so happy he tried. The love I feel for these three is incredible they make me smile and laugh and its just a ton of fun teaching them because although they arent members the go to seminary which is AMAZING. 


Lastly is Guadalupe she is 19 and is super interested in the gospel she even attended church. She participated so much during church. She is incredible and has so much potential. 


OK so the baptsim of José Luis didnt happen. It was a little frustrating because his wife and mom are members and he has a testimony of Joseph Smith, the book of mormon and literally all aspects of the church and the gospel but wont be baptized. But we believe its just not his time and one day it will happen lol. 


My new favorite phrase in Spanish is "que feo" I dont know why but I think its hilarious me and my companion will just be walking and all the sudden one of us will say "que feo" and point to something and just laugh our heads off. You lose all sense of humor on your mission the things that normally arent funny are now hilarious. We also play a game while walking and it helps with my Spanish we go through the spanish Alphabet and name things with each letter. She also makes me tell her stories and she corrects my grammar and makes me congejate verbs outloud. People look at me funky but it helps.


Funny little story I almost lost my life this week because I was almost hit by a semi truck. We were waiting at a cross walk to cross the highway and the light turned green so I stepped off the side walk when all the sudden Hermana Labbe grabs my hood and yanks me back and about a milisecond later this semi is exaxly were I was less than a second ago. It was a literal miracle that I didnt die.

Week 76: 17 Months, Hotter Than Mars And ITS SPRING!!!

Whatttttttt i cant believe I am at 17 months ! Monday we did a district Pday in the Mountains. It sounds all nice and dandy but it wasnt. The ride up was twisty and we were in this old bus that tilted off the side of the cliff everytime we turned. We saw a 100 foot tall virgin statue and then a few yards away this minsicule jesus statue that you had to squint to see ( argentinas sure got her priorities straight here ) It was over 100 degrees and dusty. We hiked and ate asado which was the best part. I felt like angelia in the office when I said the music was too loud. On my behalf we couldnt hear eaxh other and had to ScReAm to speak.  Anways we ended up getting stuck in the Mountain because we missed the bus twice but it was fine because we ended up playing Catan i was partnered with elder Heredia and we won. and we drank mate you know theres nothing like sharing the same drink and straw between 8 missionaries as a bonding exercise. we love a good mateada. Week 77: Trio Life…Again

Tuesday: we had a good day we picked up the Hermana Osmond from the terminal and got everything organized and we went to work we put 3 people on date for baptism so awesome and we have just been having a blast together. I am back to sleeping on the floor. With three of us sharing a room theres not enough beds so I am on the floor but I offered.  It will make me appreciate my bed at home all the more.  so right now i am kinda training not training both hermana Osmond and Hermana Ballam have just gotten out of their training and i am here to see how they will do on their own without me president literally called me personally and told me i am a glorified babysitter for the next 3 weeks itll be fun they are awesome i have enjoyed it so far . Wednesday: we put Samuel back on date for baptism so that was awesome!! For lunch we ate with a member and they pulled voka out of the fridge and poured me a glass best water ever. Week 22: A Cruel Joke And Lautaros Baptism!!!!!!!

Muy buenos dias bienvenidos a una otra semana!  Bueno this week was good on Monday me and Hermana Braatz wondered into a Catholic Mass where we got really wierd looks. It was a very peaceful experience we also saw some one get shushed by a priest and it was really funny we had to leave before we laughed to loud.  Thursday: our district leaders played a CRUEL joke on us. In the afternoon we waited patiently to recieve a call saying the Lautaro passed his baptism interview and at 4:30 or so we recieved a text from the Elders saying that they needed to talk to us about Lautaro because he failed his interview. We freaked out trying to call them sent texts and they werent responding so we trecked the 40 minute walk to Lautaros house and knocked on his door determined to find out what happened his sister answered and said that he had left because he failed the interview and we asked about what had happened and she told us that he couldnt answer some of the questions  because we...
