Week 10: Creepy Men And My First Baptism

Hola hola everyone
I am so beyond happy right now
I had my first baptism and wow it was just AMAZING!!!

I had my first zone conference it was good although i didnt really understand it but the spirit was there so i am guessing it was good.

The weather here is wack. Its freezing kn the morbing but a billion degrees in the afternoon and then freezing again. Its really annyoing.

This week we got permission to teach the rojas family but while on exchanges we dropped the family completely. The reason we dropped them was because our STLs came on exchanges with us and we visted the Rojas and the father of the family FLIRTED with me the whole time but he was speaking Spanish so I couldnt understand what he was saying I just thought he was just being nice but as we left Hermana Wolfs said we couldnt teach them because the father and his friend were being really creepy and saying weird things that she didnt want to repeat. So I have no idea what was really said. So now we have to walk the long way to appointments because their shop is right in the middle of everything and its best to avoid the family.

OK now for my first baptism!! I am so freakin happy right now I cant stop smiling. As you know we have been teaching Valeria and her daughter Martina and this saturday they were baptized. But... for about 2 hours we thought it wouldnt happen because the font wouldnt fill with water so we panicked but we had the idea to heat pots of water on the stove and fill the font that way it took FOREVER to fill but in the end they were baptized!! I was so happy for the. and their smiles were so big the spirit was so strong.

On fathers day we went to our bishops house fo dinner and oh my goodnesd guys he made the best freakin steak I was in heaven the whole time it was just wow.

OK funny little story. I broke the shower but back story I actually broke it my first night here but I fixed it so no one knew that it broke until I broke it again. Dislcaimer I didnt break the actual shower just the curtain and the pole but I was being stupid in the shower and slipped and my hand hit the pole and it literally snapped in half I tried to fix it but I cut my finger and this black liquid was dripping everywhere it was a mess. Water, blood and mystery black liquid was everywhere. I hurried and got dressed and with my pathetic spanish I said " tenemos un problema " and I pointed to the bathroom and what a sight it was. Water was EVERYWHERE blood and black liquid covered the walls. The look on my companions face was priceless but she just laughed.

We are teaching a family but they live so far away that its hard to contact them but we hope to put them on date for baptism. Also if a miracle happens I will have another baptsim this week (José) he is married to a member but isnt a member himself he is always at church so I have a ton of faith.

Love you all
Hermana Jensen
