Week 7: Last Week At The MTC And Off To Argentina

I leave for Argentina tomorrow!!! I am freaking out and I am SOOOOO excited to meet my trainer and my mission President but I have no idea what to expect so the unknown is scary.

This week was so hard for me and my district we were all so over the CCM and it was so hard to concentrate because we are at the point in our spanish where we have been taught so much that every day is boring and reptitive that we all just want to be in the field actually doing the Lords work.

On Friday me and my district practiced our musical number for church and we sound so bad that I cant stop laughing.
we had the opportunity to teach latino missionaries and I was feeling so confident and sure in my self but my first group of missionaries was 4 Elders and one Elder was not very kind I was trying so hard to teach in Spanish and he kept interuprting telling me things what I was doing wrong and just not being helpful and kept trying to hand me his phone to Google translate and I was just so flustered that my confidence was completly depleated and after the entire activty was done he points to me from across the room and goes " that Hermana was about to have a heart attack when she was teaching, her face was so red and she never once made eye contact" of course he said this all in spanish and I was so frustraded because I had tried so hard and I feel bad but I gave him a really dirty look and when he tried to talk to me afterwards he continued to tell me how red my face had been and I just stared at him and walked away.

On Saturday Hermana Millar had a fever so me and Hermana Eppley had to skip class to stay with her but we just hung out in our room for 4 hours and spent the time studying spanish and reading the book of mormon. Apparently our Elders suffered from food poising last night so while at breakfast I got the run down of events.

Monday and Tuesday were spiritually amazing I had such a good personal study! I am currently reading in 3 nephi when Christ visits the nephites and he blesses all the little children i felt so much love when reading those chapters. Also at lunch we had a big discussion on deep docterine topics and its so amazing that you think you know everything about the second coming and all that stuff but the more you look into it the more you realize how little we know. During class our teacher Hermano Diaz went so in depth on the tribes of Israel and all the symbolism that is correlated between the book of mormon and the Bible and my mind was continually being blown the whole class.

Well today is the last day of the MTC! I leave tomorrow morning and its going to be such a long day. I am not sure when my next P-Day will be but I love you all. I dont know when you'll hear from me but the next time you do I will be in Argentina!!

Love you all

Hermana Jensen
